While central London may not be blessed with trails a-plenty or surrounded by undulating hills, what it does have thanks to The North Face is a series of brand new training sessions and activities aimed at outdoor explorers.
From hour-long workouts and films about outdoor challenges to workshops and day excursions #NeverStopLondon is more than a weekly run club, it’s a community of like-minded people looking for inspiration, tips and advice on training for their next adventure.
What’s more, it means you can let off some steam and get a good workout every Tuesday from 6:30pm at The North Face store, 290 Regent Street. That’s right in the heart of London.
You don’t have to be a multi-bling ultra-marathoner to participate either. The Tuesday sessions led by adventure fitness instructor Jon Stratford and ultra-marathon runner, Stuart Crispin, are tailored to suit people of all abilities.
An easy warm-up jog to Green Park is followed by what can only be described as an all-over body workout – and sprints! This is something that if you’re anything like me, you know you have to do to get stronger and faster but “accidentally” ignore. There’s no way you can get out of them at the North Face sessions (but you’ll be so glad afterwards).
Even the toughest of Crossfitters would find the mix of sprints and bodyweight exercises a challenge and come out of the session sweaty but feeling good. It’s a great way to kick-start the week, fire up your fitness levels and stay focused throughout winter. After all, there’s only so many times you can stay in and watch telly on a school night. Leave Netflix for another night and “escape the concrete jungle” with the #NeverStopLondon community.
